Acronyms entice, enlarge, and instruct!
Over the decades I’ve either found or created these pearls of wisdom.
Once such acronym used in schools and other places is THINK.
This five steps practice contains the following elements, seen below.
In my writings over the past few weeks I have elucidated the difference between a reaction and a response, encouraging a response.
The acronym lies under the mantle of a response.
T – is it true?
H – is it helpful?
I – is it inspiring?
N – is it necessary?
K – is it kind?
Instead of reacting to people and/or events choose to respond by choosing to THINK!
Will my response be true, helpful, inspiring, necessary, and kind?
This response truly focuses on others, so necessary in an age of “me” so prevalent in our world.
