I Make My Own Sunshine

“It’s one of those days” can either express delight or disgust.

The sunrise or the sunset can appear to be the same, depending …

“Half full or half empty” depend on the lens through which we view life.

On the positive side, I reminded of a song I Make My Own Sunshine is the title of a song by Alyssa Bonagura. In a refrain she sings:

“It don’t matter if it’s raining

Nothing can phase me

I make my own sunshine

And if you think you can break me

Baby you’re crazy

I make my own sunshine”

We choose our own happiness.

On the way in to work today, one of the staff at school was thankful because she said that hearing about this song earlier and it made her day.

While substitute teaching the majority of students applied, engaged, responded and CHOSE to make the most of the day. And then the few others.

Many of our younger generation are choosing to both acquire knowledge and strive to become wise!
