Never Alone

Elvis sang it.
You’ll Never Walk Alone
Words & Music by Oscar Hammerstein II / Richard Rogers
When you walk through a storm hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho’ your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone,
You’ll never, ever walk alone.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone,
You’ll never, ever walk alone.”

Holidays can be times with others — especially if they are distant — either physically or emotionally.
We remember certain events, either with delight or sadness,
Let’s focus on the delights, especially as we enter Thanksgiving week.
As you may know or have suspected, I aim at being a person of faith in thought and action.
One of the writings from Psalms, in this case, Psalm 73, is the following:
“Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel…
But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I will tell of all your deeds.”
I can honestly say that this reality, bolstered with regular doses of reflection, forms the foundation of my life so that I both feel and know that “I am never alone!”
